Case Studies:

 

Mentoring & Coaching Business Planning

Judy refined and developed the strategic skills and business planning competencies of 11 country management teams (Norway, UK, Netherlands, Kazakhstan, Angola, Cameroon, Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Ivory Coast, Nigeria) using English as a second language for most of the time. These teams previously had only rudimentary experience of business planning and thinking strategically. Acting as coach and mentor, and travelling extensively over a 2-year period, Judy developed their strategic management of US$ 230 million of business to standalone levels of competence.

 

Development and Award of European Social Fund Bid for £4M

Judy created the idea of ‘Shaping the Future’ for North West Wales – for which she won matched funding (at National & Local Government level) to mitigate the socio-economic impacts of decommissioning the UK nuclear legacy in North West Wales. The project addresses the redeployment of workers leaving the nuclear industry, creating a sustainable economic foundation reshaping the unique skills legacy the Nuclear Industry has left behind it.

 

Strategic Development Manager

Implementing a group strategy across the North Sea (UK, Norway, Netherlands) including business planning, tracking company performance, developing HSEQ systems, and working on client retention strategies, Judy invented a scorecard system to manage a 100% performance related fee in a major contract with Shell (US$ 33 million).

 

Development of HR Strategy for Magnox North

A strategy was required to address a national nuclear skills shortage.  Commissioned by the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, Judy’s work is now considered an exemplar strategy for the Industry. This work has brought strategic HR oversight to 2,500 skilled Nuclear Professionals in 6 locations across the UK.
